Ben Spencer-White, Head of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the Post Office, has revolutionised the organisations approach to ED&I. Under his leadership, the Post Office has made remarkable progress, with disclosure rates for Disability and LGBTQ+ increasing from mid-teens to over 50% while rates for ethnicity and gender remain above 90%. Ben’s proactive and innovative initiatives have led to the introduction of new policies on Pregnancy Loss and Menopause, as well as updates to Flexible Working, Parental Leave, and Transitioning in the Workplace. Launching ‘Let’s Talk About…’, Ben has created a safe space where 130+ colleagues collectively share their unique stories, promoting open conversations and celebrating differences. Ben’s efforts earned the Post Office the European Diversity & Inclusion Team of the Year 2022 Award and a spot on The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2021.
