Greene King (GK) is the country’s leading pub retailer with around 39,000 employees and 2,600 pubs, restaurants and hotels across the UK. Their culture is deeply rooted in social mobility, building, and sustaining a more diverse environment where all people are embraced and valued for who they are so that they reach their full potential and thrive. Building on their previous Stepping up report of 2019, last year in June 2022, GK launched their Untapping Potential Report illustrating commitment to increase the number of career opportunities they provide for wide range of marginalised under-represented groups. Their commitments include adding 5,000 new apprentices across the 37 different types of apprenticeships currently available by 2025; recruiting 300 more prison leavers by 2025; launching a Chef Academy Programme this year; and providing 100 new internships by 2025.
