Diversity Team of the Year Award
The Organisational Development Team at United Utilities (UU) takes the lead in driving all ED&I initiatives, programs, and activities across the company. Their dedication has yielded remarkable results, positioning UU among the Top 15 FTSE companies for women in leadership and surpassing the 40% Women on Boards and Women Leaders target. Honoured with the Recruitment Excellence Award at the 2022 North West Apprenticeship Awards, UU have displayed their commitment to diverse apprenticeship recruitment, with 50% female/50% ethnic minority graduates recently joining the business. Their ‘Stepping Up’ program for ethnic minority colleagues has seen participants secure new roles, with over 40% now managing teams. Keen to share best practices with other employers UU hosted the North West’s inaugural D&I summit and continue to support external programs such as the 10,000 Black Interns and Ambitious About Autism initiatives.
