Inclusive Culture Initiative Award
SCSJV has been shortlisted for their innovative approach to recruitment to increase the diversity and inclusion of their workforce. Skanska, Costain and STRABAG (SCSJV) are a joint venture, working on the High Speed 2 (HS2) rail project. To deliver HS2 the construction industry must recruit 30,000 roles. SCSJV has aspirations to recruit a diverse and inclusive workforce comprising 20% female employees, 30% employees from ethnic minorities, 5% employees with a disability and an increase in LGBTQ+ declaration. They have developed a strategy to recruit diverse talent and have implemented a number of initiatives during the advertising and screening process such as anonymised CV’s, acquiring top-level Disability Confident status, and reviewing all job descriptions.
