The Embrace Network is Bird & Bird’s multicultural diversity network established to promote diversity and represent racial and cultural experiences. Embrace welcome everyone within the firm, who relates to, identifies with, appreciates or celebrates the culture, religion, history and experience of ethnic and racial minorities in an intersectional manner, and acknowledges the challenges faced by those who identify within any of these categories. Since its launch in November 2017, Embrace has become a cross-business, intersectional network that has interacted with internal and external stakeholders to create a multi-faceted and innovative approach to racial and cultural diversity within the legal industry. Recognised both internally and externally, it has since evolved into a platform that dissects stereotypes, breaks glass ceilings and shakes up the status quo in a historically homogenous profession.
